Mumbai: Zepto, a rapidly growing Indian consumer internet company, marked its third anniversary with a focus on fostering diversity and inclusivity. The company introduced a campaign spotlighting the success stories of women and differently abled employees who have triumphed over obstacles with Zepto’s backing. Through two digital films, Zepto highlights inspiring tales of inclusivity.
The first film portrays Vishwanath, a differently-abled delivery partner turned team leader at Zepto Cafe in Bellandur, Bangalore. He is one of 100+ differently-abled staff members representing the company’s dedication to equal opportunities and empowerment, showcasing the impact of inclusivity.
“Vishwanath’s story is one of grit and opportunity. He exemplifies strength in silence and is a joy to work with,” says Kaivalya Vohra, Co-founder of Zepto.
The second film showcases Zepto’s successful women staff, highlighting their inspiring journeys to leadership, such as store managers and female pickers. Zepto is proud to have over 50% women in its day shift and aims to sustain this gender balance while expanding.
10% of Zepto’s stores have women pickers, and over 10% of day employees in Zepto cafes are differently abled, signaling the start of a more diverse and inclusive workplace journey.
“1200 women are just the beginning. Since shooting this video, we have welcomed 200 more women to Zepto, bringing the total to 1400+ women in our warehouse teams. To serve our diverse world, we need all voices represented. Every voice matters, and we are committed to increasing this number to match, if not exceed, their counterparts!” says Kaivalya Vohra, Co-founder of Zepto.
Zepto’s 10X scale-up will prioritize inclusivity, serving as a foundation for growth and fostering innovation and success.
