Zenith has created a new function to drive performance services for global clients, which will be led by Jos Smyth, who has been appointed to the newly created role of Global Head of Performance.
The new global performance capability at Zenith will take responsibility for defining the overall direction and delivery of all areas of performance marketing for Zenith’s global clients, working closely with Performics, Publicis Media’s performance practice.
Reporting to Benoit Cacheux, Global Head of Digital and Innovation at Zenith, Jos has been tasked with designing the structure of Zenith’s new performance team, and will take responsibility for hiring leads across three key areas: paid search, SEO and social. He will define how Zenith’s performance services, planning processes and tools will be integrated into ROI+, the network’s way of working and planning platform. Jos will also take charge of designing the performance vision and roadmap for Zenith’s global clients.
As Zenith pushes into new areas of technology and innovation to drive brand growth for clients, Jos will work closely with leaders such as Cassandra Stevens, Global Commerce Director, to ensure that performance is fully integrated into our new approaches.
Jos joins Zenith from Digitas, where he was VP, Group Director, National Lead of SEO for North America, working with clients such as Accenture, T-Mobile, MillerCoors and Comcast. Before that he was Head of SEO, NYC – Client Director at iProspect. During his career, Jos has also worked for Neo @Ogilvy, where he was SEO Manager, and i-level, where has was a Senior Search Strategist.
