Zee TV’s upcoming primetime show Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile (premiering November 11 at 9:30 pm) delves into the unique and lesser-known Aata Saata marriage tradition, still practiced in parts of Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh. In this custom, a daughter from one family marries a son from another, while the groom’s sister weds the bride’s brother, creating a complex bond of mutual obligation.
The show’s plot centers around Reet (played by Ayushi Khurana), an independent reporter, and Raghav (Bharat Ahlawat), a businessman who agrees to the Aata Saata custom to secure his sister Unnati’s future. Reet, in turn, marries Raghav as a guarantee for her brother’s happiness, becoming collateral to protect Unnati’s well-being.
With its fresh narrative, Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile explores whether a marriage built on duty and family honor can evolve into a true partnership based on love. The show airs Monday to Friday at 9:30 pm on Zee TV.
Mangesh Kulkarni, the Chief Channel Officer, Zee TV said, “In India, marriage is not just a union; it is a vibrant celebration of life through diverse traditions and cultural nuances that vary across regions and communities.
