Chennai: Keeping in mind the soon-approaching festival of lights, Zee Thirai announces a spectacular line-up of back-to-back movie premieres.
The romantic-drama film Achuthanandan starring Nara Rohit, Naga Shaurya and Regina Cassandra in lead and crucial roles will air on Saturday, 30th October at 7pm. The well received film has several fun-filled moments and manages to keep the audience glued right till the end.
On 31st of October watch the movie Mr. & Mrs. Arjun which is an amalgamation of drama, romance, and comedy. Starring Nithiin, Keerthy Suresh, Vennela Kishore, the movie follows the life of two neighbours who are childhood friends and share a love-hate relationship. But as they grow up, they find themselves in a loveless marriage.
Up next is Jawaan on 1st November. Directed by B. V. S. Ravi, Sai Dharam Tej plays the role of Jai who is an honourable and sincere man. The movie showcases his conflict with his childhood friend Keshava, who is a dangerous criminal, and is planning to steal a missile from the DRDO. The movie received appreciation as from the beginning it gave the message that Jai would put nation first before his own family or his life – this aspect is rare in movies and was hence applauded.
On 2nd November, Zee Thirai will air the popular and fan favourite Shesu Yaar at 7pm. The film stars Adivi Sesh, Regina Cassandra, Naveen Chandra and Murali Sharma in crucial roles and follows the story of a corrupt cop named Vikram Vasudev who is currently investigating a seemingly open-and-shut case of a woman killing her rapist. This multi-actor movie which is an official adaptation of the Spanish crime thriller Contratiempo received a lot of appreciation for the script and screenplay.
Kavalthurai Ungal Nanban, the crime thriller will be telecasted on 3rd November at 7 pm. A terrible turnout of events occurs when a public employee enters unexpectedly into a police station. The gripping storyline makes for a must watch film and is sure to leave a lasting impact on the audience. Based on a real-life incident, the director Ranjith Manikandan also known as RDM has kept the plot simple but eye-opening.
The last movie in the line-up on Diwali, is the political drama Ka/Pe Ranasingam on 4th November at 7pm. Directed by P. Virumaandi, the movie narrates the story of Ariyanachi, a poor woman who does not leave any stone unturned to bring her deceased husband’s final remains back to India from Dubai while also battling the odds of political agenda, corruption and a treacherous bureaucracy that stands in her way. Starring Vijay Sethupathy and Aishwarya Rajesh, the critically acclaimed movie received a lot of praises from the audience as well as critics for their unique plotline, intense screenplay and great acting. The well received film managed to reach people from all economic strata and its evidence lies in the fact that the trailer itself had crossed the 3 million mark on YouTube.
