Hyderabad: Sammakka Saralamma Jatara or Medaram Jatara, a festival honoring the goddesses is celebrated at Medaram in Tadvai Mandal in Warangal district of Telangana State.
The popular festival known for a very long time as it is believed that the goddess visits the place every year and visitors from different parts of the state throng the destination and over a period of time the religious occasion has gained immense popularity in Telangana and is now called ‘Kumbh Mela of Telangana’.
The Jatara attracted a humongous crowd of over 2 crore people from across the globe. Zee Telugu took early bird initiative to tap and reach the mass rural market to promote the channel’s popularity and its existing & future programming line-up.
The Medaram Jatara festival is celebrated every two years. This year, the government has extended support in promoting the importance and significance of the festival.
Identifying an opportunity to rightly place Zee Telugu branding across the town of Medaram through standees, posters, wall paintings, Huge LED screens playing promos of Zee Telugu serials and shows, helped to grab a lot of eyeballs of those who visited the Jatara.
Zee Telugu made its presence felt at the festival where it provided viewer engagement activities by entertaining the visitors, showcasing devotional content, daily serials, upcoming shows like Mutyala Muggu, Denikaina Ready, announcement in Jatara in local slangs, promos played on multiple LED screens etc. There were about 5,00,000 stall visitors who voted for an upcoming event – Apsara Awards. There were more than 1,00,000 + votes counted during the Jatara at the stall.
