Zee Tamil has launched an initiative to give raincoats to senior security officers who are over 50, as the monsoon season is rapidly approaching.
In Zee Tamil’s show “Thavamaai Thavamirundhu”, the lead character, Markandeyan, who is at his 50s, forced to take up the job of a security personnel after being schemed by his sons.
Drawing inspiration from this character, the channel has decided to acknowledge the work of thousands of security personnel, who are forced to take up such assignments because of poverty and other compelling circumstances, with raincoats so that they can tide over the monsoon with some basic comfort.
