Chennai:Tamil General Entertainment Channel (GEC) – Zee Tamil has announced the telecast of Kuttrame Thandanai – the neo noir crime psychological thriller that is set to capture the minds of the audiences with its unconventional plot and intriguing screenplay. The film is set to be telecast during the channel’s latest movie segment – Sunday Surprise – 4 Mani – Nanga Than Ini on Sunday, 25th February at 4:30 PM.
With Direction and Cinematography by M. Manikandan of Kakka Muttai fame, the film stars Vidharth, Pooja Devariya and Aishwarya Rajesh in lead roles who were widely appreciated for the strong portrayal of their characters at various international film festivals. The film’s story surrounds a man with tunnel vision who is gradually turning blind and does not have the money for surgery to restore his vision. The plot thickens as the man witnesses the murder of a young woman and he inadvertently gets stuck between the suspects who offer him money to remain silent and his conscience to reveal the truth. The film also stars Rahman, Nassar, Guru Somasundaram, G. Marimuthu and Yogi Babu in supporting roles.
In the month of March, the upcoming movies in this segment which will air World Television Premieres every Sunday are comedy film – Enakku Vaaitha Adimagal, romantic musical – Meendum Oru Kadhal Kathai, drama film – Kadugu and the dark comedy – Peechankai.
