Mumbai: ZEE Entertainment Enterprises Limited (ZEEL), on Tuesday commemorated the occasion of International Women’s Day with #NaariRakheJaari campaign. As part of this campaign, the company aims to express gratitude and celebrate the women who are directly or indirectly associated with the cable and DTH industry. The company conducted an engaging on-ground activation at 25 partner offices across multiple cities in India, expressing gratitude for the spirit of its women employees, who in their respective roles have contributed to ensure that entertainment is delivered in millions of households across the country.
While, we have seen women content creators & women leaders make an indelible mark on India’s entertainment industry, there has been a significant increase in the number of women employees and women partners in India’s cable TV distrubtion industry, over the past few years. ZEE Entertainment’s one-of-its-kind #NaariRakheJaari campaign aims to recognise these unsung ‘sheroes’, whose contribution has been immense in ensuring India remains entertained even during some of the most unprecedented times.
Speaking on the campaign Atul Das, Chief Revenue Officer – Affiliate Sales, ZEEL said, “ZEEL appreciates women’s contribution in the cable and DTH industry in India, we have taken various steps and launched initiatives to salute their unwavering support, we have women employees contributing towards taking the industry forward to newer heights in a variety of roles. From back-office administrators to sales, from customer relationship managers to accountants and technician, #NaariRakheJaari is truly a celebration of every woman who is part of India’s cable and DTH industry.”
Being a leader in India’s entertainment industry, ZEE Entertainment has been on forefront to empower women and enable them to wield their extraordinary powers, through ground-breaking campaigns from time to time. The company has been effectively championing the cause of associating with women partners in the industry.
Adding to this, Rajiv Bakshi, Chief Operations Officer – Revenue, ZEEL said, “We want to celebrate the immense contribution of women across all roles and functions in our success. They play a critical role in the television distribution sector and the#NaariRakheJaari initiative is a humble effort to spotlight their amazing achievements.”
Last year, challenging the status quo of ‘gender bias’ associated with the profession, the company celebrated the women in the cable operator fraternity by giving them a much-deserved recognition with the #WalaNahiWali digital ad campaign. Taking last year’s thought forward, ZEE Entertainment’s clutter-breaking campaign is engaging with over 800+ women employees spread across 25 nationwide partner offices in 8 languages, through engaging activities, while paying tribute to the contribution of thousands of women through their digital platforms. The company has further created a special poem bringing to the fore the importance of the efforts of the women working in the cable and DTH industry and saluting their contribution from working in the fraternity to ably supporting a male member of the family, who may or may not be working alongside them.
