Kochi: Zee Keralam’s popular Television serial Pookalam Varavayi has completed the milestone of 500 episodes. The serial has Mridula Vijay and Arun G Ragavan in the lead roles as Samyukta and Abhimanyu. Pookalam Varavayi portrays the story of two people, who out of hatred get married and later go on to understand each other and fall in love. The first episode of the serial premiered on 1st July 2019.
While Samyukta and Abhimanyu had a hard time till recently, their characters have started quite an amicable and loving bond now which has made the serial even more pleasant and engaging. The interesting storyline and the characters are the main attractions of this serial.
The main leads of the show are very much adored by the audience and they are often seen interacting with their fans on social media through live sessions. Mridula and Arun are popular faces of the Malayalam serial industry and are a favorite on-screen couple of television.
On the occasion of the completion of 500 episodes, both the leads of the show posted a special poster of the show and thanked their viewers for the love and support. The celebration was followed by a cake cutting ceremony, Mridula Vijay posted a short video where both Mridula and Arun are seen eating a cake piece that has their own photograph printed on it with a funny caption below.
Other important cast members include Arathi Sojan, Niranjan Sreenath, Sonia Baiju, Maneesha and Rekha Ratheesh who portray the characters of Sapthathi, Harshan, Sharmila, Soudhamini, Parvathi Yatjeendran respectively. The story of the serial is written by Praveen Eravankara and directed by Shiju Aroor.
The romantic family drama telecasts on Monday to Saturday at 6 pm on ZEE Keralam.
