Bengaluru: After the tremendously hit nonfiction shows- Weekend with Ramesh & Sa Re Ga Ma Pa season-11 and the phenomenal success of Nagini, Zee Kannada is all set to launch its next big ticket fiction show ‘Ganga’.
Ganga is a story of innocence and bravery of a little girl who stands firm and tall against injustice of the society. The show is all set to launch on 14th March and will be aired on every Monday to Friday at 9:00 PM.
Ganga is an innocent girl from a small town who gets married at a very young age only to lose her husband before even she comprehends the meaning of marriage. She also loses her father, who was her parent, guide and friend. Ushered into a cruel world of widowhood, Ganga starts fighting the injustices of the oppression armed with lessons her father taught her lovingly. ‘Ganga’ is a symbol of innocence, bravery and life and will she be successful in her struggle?
Ganga promises a lot of freshness on screen, with stunning locales of rainforests of Sirsi and picturesque backgrounds of Traditional north Karnataka. For the first time in the history of Kannada television, Havyaka Kannada, local dialect of North Kannada district is used. It also has the unique flavour of North Karnataka’s Kannada dialect.
Ganga is produced by Kannada’s eminent producer/director/cinematographer Krishna, who is known for his work in movies like Mungaru Male, Gajakesari among others. Ganga has many power packed performances by renowned actors who will not fail to enthral you.
