New Delhi: Zee Hindustan, one of the largest news networks conducted an event – Aarogyam, to reaffirm the importance of healthcare and celebration the ancient science of Ayurveda. The event was conducted to engage with the biggest names in Ayurveda and top doctors of the country to reaffirm the importance of healthcare infrastructure in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, and other health emergencies. Furthermore, the experts shared their views on best practices and success stories of strengthening the healthcare system to combat COVID-19 and its new variant Omicron. The conclave saw over 100 attendees and included three-panel discussions where the experts promoted Ayurveda and its benefits. They elaborated on disciplined daily routines such as early sleeping, morning readings, oil baths, healthy diet, intake of Ayurveda tonics, etc.
The event was graced by the honorable Minister Mansukh Mandviya, Health, and Family Welfare, Chemicals and Fertilizers; Swami Chidanand Saraswati, President and Spiritual Head of Parmarth Niketan Ashram; Prof. Dr. Tanuja Nesari, Director of All India Institute of Ayurveda, Dr. DS Rana, Chairman, Sir Gangaram Hospital, and Dr. SK Sarin, Director of Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences.
While talking about the role of primary health care in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic Mansukh Mandaviya, Minister for Health and Family and Chemicals and Fertilizers, Govt. of India said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a pledge to strengthen the health care system of our country. Keeping with this commitment, we launched the Ayushman Bharat scheme to promote equitable recovery and boost the healthcare system’s resilience. Through this scheme, we have served over 50 million people. Our vaccination campaign, research, and development of the vaccines have been praised all over the world.”
