Mumbai: ZEE Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. (ZEE) has received a clean bill of health from its Independent Investigation Committee (IIC), which submitted its findings to the Board of Directors. Chaired by Justice Dr. Satish Chandra, the IIC included independent directors Mr. Uttam Prakash Agarwal and Dr. P.V Ramana Murthy. The Committee conducted a thorough review of allegations raised by regulatory agencies, emphasising the company’s cooperation throughout the investigation.
The IIC noted that ZEE had provided comprehensive support and documentation to the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), and had already implemented necessary remedial measures regarding past issues. The Committee found that the transactions under scrutiny were routine business activities that did not harm the company or its shareholders.
Dr. Satish Chandra remarked on the extensive effort invested by the Committee and external advisors, stating that no adverse findings were uncovered. The Board has since encouraged ZEE to resolve any pending matters with SEBI promptly and to concentrate on enhancing performance in alignment with its strategic growth initiatives.
This investigation, initiated in response to regulatory concerns, underscores ZEE’s commitment to transparency and shareholder protection, marking a significant step forward for the company as it navigates its operational landscape.
