With over 7 decades devoted to singing, the Guinness Book of World Records credits AshaBhosle as the most recorded artist in music history, for recording maximum solo, duet and chorus-backed songs and in over 20 Indian languages since 1947. Zee Classic celebrates this living legend’s 84th birthday with an unforgettable concert called ‘Timeless Asha’ on Friday, 8th September at 7 PM.
It was a spectacular tribute to AshaBhosle by various young artists of the film fraternity and graced by renowned musicians, singers, actors amongst others. An epitome of simplicity and elegance, AshaBhosle is renowned for her body of work that includes Hindi and regional film songs, popular music, ghazals, traditional Indian classical music, folk songs, kawwalis and Rabindra Sangeet.
The event was graced by stalwarts of Hindi cinema like Pandit Shivkumar Sharma, PanditHariprasadChaurasia, Dimple Kapadia, ZeenatAman, Helen, Tabu, Bindu, Jaya Prada, MoushumiChatterjee, LeenaChandavarkar, Amit Kumar, Kumar Sanu, Shaan, Udit Narayan AlkaYagnik, and many more. RajyaSabhaMember of Parliament, Mr.SharadPawar also graced the occasion with his wife, PratibhaPawar.
Produced by Mahesh Tilekar, the starstudded evening was hosted by the charming singer-actor Aayushmann Khurrana . Zee Classic’s ‘Timeless Asha’ was graced by the legendary singer herself and saw some amazing performances.
