Mumbai: Zee Entertainment Enterprises owned Zee Café, the channel that syndicates popular American television shows to appeal to the English-speaking population of India, has acquired the rights to telecast ‘MotherFatherSon’ in India. BBC Studios produced the Richard Gere-led drama ‘MotherFatherSon’. In addition to Zee Café deal, the series has secured a raft of global sales.
From Tom Rob Smith (The Assassination of Gianni Versace), the eight-part series follows a fractured family at the heart of politics and power, pulled together under catastrophic circumstances.
Among the other deals for the BBC Studios-produced drama are HBO (pan-CEE), TVNZ (New Zealand), RTP2 (Portugal) and RUV (Iceland) to Catchplay (Taiwan), and Amedia (Russia). Elsewhere it will be shown on BBC First in Australia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore and South Africa.
