Mumbai: ZEE 24 Taas – one of Maharashtra’s leading news channels, held their ‘Ananya Sanman’ awards ceremony. The ceremony felicitates people who have made unique contributions in various fields. This year, ‘Ananya Sanman Jeevan Gaurav Puraskar’ was given to Pandit Hridaynath Mangeshkar. The other honored awardees were Sakharam Ramabai Torne for the social sector, Shivaji Ambulegkar for the education sector, Praveen Vyavahare for his outstanding achievements in the field of sports and Shantabai Dhade for her outstanding achievements in the field of agriculture, Suhas Waingankar, who works in the field of environment.
Pandit Hridaynath Mangeshkar who was honored with this year’s ‘Ananya Sanman Jeevan Gaurav Puraskar‘ said, “I sincerely thank Zee. Didi (Lata Mangeshkar) wanted to see this honor of mine. She’s not here with us today, and I’m not happy about that.”
The evening was also graced by Shri Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways of India; Shri Dilip Walse-Patil Minister of Home Affairs of Maharashtra and MNS president Raj Thackeray, former mayor of Mumbai Smt. Kishori Pednekar, Former vice-chancellor of University of Mumbai.
Shri Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways of India, said, “The Music composition and the lyrics given to the world by Pandit Hridaynath Mangeshkar is immortal.”
MNS president Raj Thackeray, added, “Maharashtra’s gem Pandit Hridaynath Mangeshkar is honored by a well-known channel Zee 24 TAAS at Ananya Sanman event. In fact the state should also honor these individuals who have brought name and fame to the state of Maharashtra.”
