India: Zapr Media Labs, a Bangalore-based media-tech company, bagged four awards at the sixth edition of the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) SMARTIES India Awards on Friday evening in New Delhi. The gala night, saw them pick up two Golds, one Silver as well as a coveted industry award for the ‘Best in Show’ category. These four awards are a reflection of Zapr’s innovative body of work and product offering, as well as a testament to the validation and recognition which the young company has received all quarters of the Indian media and advertising industry.
The Zapr entry – “Waltzing Across TV: How 300,000 people switched channels to Super Dancer” for Sony Entertainment Television Channel won a Gold in the Brand Awareness category, a Gold in the Product/Services Launch category and was awarded the ‘Best In Show’ industry award. The ‘Best in Show’ award was selected across the winners of each of the award categories, by an eminent panel of industry veterans. Furthermore, an entry in collaboration with Mindshare and Diageo won a Silver in the category – Cross Screen Advertising, for the entry “David vs. Goliath 2.0: When mobile out-muscled TV”.
