Mumbai: Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, a hotel franchising company with over 9,200 hotels across 25 leading brands, has announced the appointment of Rahool Macarius as the Market Managing Director for Eurasia. This appointment highlights Wyndham’s commitment to scaling its presence and operations in the fast-growing hospitality sector across Eurasia, with India’s hospitality industry alone projected to surpass $281 billion USD in 2025.*
In his new role, Rahool Macarius will oversee Wyndham’s regional operations and drive the growth of its diverse portfolio across India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Bhutan, and the Maldives.
Returning to Wyndham after previously serving as Director of Commercial for the region, Rahool brings over 25 years of leadership experience in financial management, operational excellence, and stakeholder engagement, honed through senior roles at prominent hotel groups.

Currently, Wyndham operates more than 60 hotels across India and aims to grow its footprint by 25% within the next 18 months. As Market Managing Director, Rahool will lead the Eurasia team in enhancing market penetration and developing new properties in alignment with Wyndham’s ambitious regional growth strategy. He will also focus on innovation, sustainability, and creating exceptional guest experiences, further solidifying Wyndham’s leadership in the Eurasian hospitality market.
