Wunderman Thompson Indonesia kickstarted 2021 with a refreshed roster of diverse and future-forward leaders.
Joining the team in January this year are Chief Strategy Officer Adam Thurland, Executive Creative Director Philipp Cerny, Business Director Neelakshi Medhi and Integrated Content Director Nicole Hedemann.
The hires highlight Wunderman Thompson Indonesia’s ambitious and progressive vision for 2021. Cerny was a founding member of PUNX, a cross-region creative project house, working mostly with Chinese tech platforms, and was recently at the creative helm of the China office of Jung Von Matt, one of the top 3 independent agencies worldwide; Thurland led development of the Google Design Sprint Chapter in Shanghai, and also co-founded Furlonteer.com in 2020, a solution platform to connect volunteers during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Medhi brings to the team a strategic business direction with her past experience as Brand Strategy Consultant on brands such as Burger King and Teman Bumil. Hedemann was promoted from Associate Creative Director to Integrated Content Director during her time with Wunderman Thompson Hong Kong, and brings to the table her customer experience and UX expertise. Her past regional clients included HSBC and Swire Hotels.

Under Sarkar’s leadership, Wunderman Thompson Indonesia plans to offer end-to-end Brand solutions focusing on Experience Design, Data and Commerce capabilities, working actively towards creating future-fit solutions for brands and their consumers.
The team also features Viney Bhatia heading Finance, and Experience Design Director TorbjornAksdal, both of whom joined in 2020.
Torbjorn who joined Wunderman Thompson to bolster their CX capabilities, will have an expanded role overseeing UX/ UI this year. Similarly, Director of Strategic Services Retna Murti will also take on a holistic Strategy role this year. Henco Moller who had joined as a Business Consultant in April 2020, will now play a new role as eBusiness Lead driving momentum for all capabilities. He will also lead partnerships and new business initiatives for the Indonesia operation.
