Wunderman Thompson has appointed IPG Mediabrands’ Caroline Foster Kenny as its new Global Chief Client Officer. At IPG Mediabrands Foster Kenny held dual roles at the Interpublic as global president of client solutions and UK chairman and CEO.
In the new position, she is tasked with leading global client relationship development and driving business and brand transformation for the top 30 global clients. She will be based in London, reporting to Wunderman Thompson Global CEO, Mel Edwards.
The move marks a return to WPP, where Forster Kenny spent 20 years in media agencies, rising to be global chief client officer at MEC, (now known as Wavemaker), which she left in 2016. Foster Kenny was also EMEA CEO of IPG Mediabrands from 2017 until the start of 2020 when she moved to a global client solutions role while retaining a UK leadership remit.
“Caroline will be a fantastic asset to the Wunderman Thompson global leadership team,” said Edwards. “Her commitment and passion for agency transformation and client growth is unparalleled and I’m confident that she will help us inspire growth both for our clients and also for our people.”
Foster Kenny, who will be based in London, added: “This is truly an opportunity I could not pass on – it’s a defining moment for me. Wunderman Thompson has all of the right ingredients to partner with its clients to drive business and brand growth.”
