Chennai: Star India’s Tamil GEC Star Vijay television, which was once popular for telecasting Hollywood blockbusters dubbed in Tamil, revisited the trend again on Sunday, 18th December with the World Television Premier of The Jungle Book.
Be it TV or film, jungle book is one story which enthrals various section of audience and this was proved once again with 80% viewership growth for Vijay TV in 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM time band, which was exactly the telecast time of World Television Premier of The Jungle Book on Vijay TV.
On Sunday, 18th December 2016, Vijay TV has witnessed 1682 Impression (000s) in the stipulated time band against previous four week average of 935 Impressions (000s), which is tallies to an 80% increase in viewership in 4+ TG of Tamilnadu and Pondicherry Market.
The Jungle Book is a live-action movie that tells the story of Mowgli, an orphaned human boy who, guided by his animal guardians, sets out on a journey of self-discovery while evading the threatening Shere Khan.. The film was directed by the academy award winner, director Jon Favreau. The film’s cast includes three Oscar winners: Ben Kingsley, Lupita Nyong’o and Christopher Walken; and an Oscar nominee: Bill Murray.
The Channel also aired The Jungle book on Christmas Day, 25th December at 11AM for which the ratings will be published by next week.
