BARC shared the report on Ad Volumes on TV (January (Wk 1-4) comparing 2021 Vs 2020. The data on growth in ad volumes from 2019 to 2020 showed there was a drop of 4% wherein in 2019 ad volumes (in million seconds) were 112 which in 2020 dropped to 108, despite of the global issues and the pandemic we saw 2021 rose to 133(In million seconds), marking a 23 % growth in one year.
If we talk about different genre, the kid’s genre saw the highest growth rate which was 35 percent, whereas the movie genre saw 28 % growth followed by music with 31 percent. The GEC and news genre saw a growth rate of 23 percent and 18 percent respectively, in 2021 as compared to 2020.
