Mumbai : The warmest Northern welcome, and a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at one of the world’s most iconic football clubs in the world.
Winning teams of the Star Re.Imagine Awards that created two of the most creative and innovative campaigns, Fevikwiks ‘Khushiyonkechand pal’ and Swiggy’s ‘No order too small’, conceptualized by Ogilvy & Mather and Lowe Lintas respectively, that ran on the Star Network during VIVO IPL 2018witnessed an action packed sporting spectacle between Manchester United and Tottenham along with a once in a life time Private VIP Stadium tour of the ‘Home of the Red Devils’. This outing was part of the Grand Prize win – a 3 day première global sporting excursion which also included visiting the historic city of Manchester.
The extravagance part of the Star Re.Imagine Awards that celebrated creativity and teamsmanship, started with a VIP Tour of the ManU stadium. Old Trafford famously known as ‘The Theatre of Dreams’– the home of Manchester United Football Club, gave a reception to the 42 winners who walked down the memory lanes of the famous ground. All those past glorious moments were cherished by these winners who were accompanied by MUFC’s legendary goalkeeper- Alex Stepney; who not only toured them but also shared various stories about his days as a Red Devil. This culminated with ring-side seats to the fiercely contested Premiere League game between Manchester United & Tottenham, with constant roars of cheers, applauds and banters.
The guest teams of Pidilite & Swiggy, included the two lions of St Mark- Piyush Pandey – & brother Prasoon Pandey; Vivek Sharma – CMO, Pidilite; Srivats Thirumala – VP Marketing, Swiggy; Sonal Dabral Vice Chairman &Group Creative Officer, O&M; , Hari Krishnan, President South India Lowe Lintas, Vanita Keswani – CEO, Madison, Ankit Rastogi – MD, Havas Media; Binu Thomas, Havas Media India Pvt Ltd amongst others.
All in all, the tour turned out to be a great team building opportunity for the two creative squads. Moreover, the whole ritual and experience of the ‘Premier League’ brought to life the great power of brand and myth building in sports. For the first time in Indian advertising, entire teams comprising of Marketing, Creative, Media have been included to celebrate their creativity and enjoy their prize. This accounts for a whopping 42 winners — whom Star India felicitated for superlative creativity with the memorable tour. The first edition of Star Reimagine Awards has now come to its beautiful end and will be back with some more surprises and challenges next year…till then, watch this space for more updates.
Star Re.imagine Awards was an initiative by Star India to encourage and recognize creativity and innovation in the use of integrated media in advertising campaigns aired during the VIVO IPL 2018 on the Star India Network & Hotstar. A stellar, bespoke jury picked two winning campaigns for spectacular creativity and impact across ‘Best creative’ and for ‘Best Use of Integrated Media’.
The winning campaigns were from some of the best creative teams in Indian advertising: Fevikwiks ‘Khushiyonkechand pal’, conceptualized by Ogilvy & Mather, won the award for excellence in creativity
(Best Creative Campaign), and Swiggy’s ‘No order too small’, conceptualisedby LoweLintas, was honoured for the Best Use of Integrated Media (Best Integrated Creative Campaign).
