William Grant & Sons India has announced the signing of Zaheen Khatri as the new trade advocate for Grant’s in North and Mumbai. She will be taking on the new role, effective immediately. Zhareen will represent Grant’s, an iconic blended Scotch whisky brand from William Grant & Sons, Scotland’s oldest continuously family-run, blended whisky makers.
Zaheen intends to combine her love for whisky & science to curate interactive and immersive experiences for whisky enthusiasts across the country in her role as the Trade Advocate.
“Grant’s is truly a unique scotch whisky that appeals to a new generation of drinkers with an inventive spirit, just like me! When it comes to flavourful pairings, the brand never ceases to amaze with its superior quality and versatility. I am thrilled a part of a brand that has a distinct Scottish legacy and I look forward to driving greater visibility for the brand in the Northern India and Mumbai market,” says Zaheen Khatri.
Payal Nijhawan, Head of Marketing, William Grant and Sons highlights that “Zaheen embodies a strong and passionate personality and as the new trade advocate for Grant’s India, we are confident that she will further add value to our brand. She will be the face of all our consumer events and trade sessions, inspiring advocacy and loyalty for Grant’s. She personifies all the attributes that a representative of the brand should possess, such as drinking responsibly and tastefully. We welcome her onboard and look forward to working closely with her.”
During her final year of MTech in nanotechnology, Zaheen landed an internship at Sula, where she was working under the chief wine maker entrusted with the entire vineyard to bottle process of grape varieties that were being researched and experimented. The whole wine movement had taken shape in India-tastings, blending, pairings- It all fascinated her. After the completion of her post-graduation, Zaheen joined Sula full time, working closely with the marketing and the wine making team.
Her passion for drinks then led her to London where she completed her Level 3 in Wine and spirit Education Trust. Her experience has ranged from representing Sula, then Jägermeister as a Brand Ambassador and Head of tastings to running her own delivery kitchen.
