Western Union and EbixCash have launched their campaign for the festive season this year titled ‘Khule Dil Wali Diwali’. The campaign has been conceptualised by Boch & Fernsh.
The campaign highlights the sense of community and how it is fast eroding. The film, featuring actor Rajendra Gupta is a take on how we barely know our neighbours anymore and often don’t take the time to even get to know them. An old man lives alone as his son lives overseas. He sees his neighbours barely trying to get to know each other and decides to take matters into his own hands. With a fund transfer from his son, he organises a Diwali party for the entire building, showing people that we just need to make a small effort to come together as a community.
“Khule dil wali diwali. Spend energy, time and money not just for you and your family but also be inclusive, invest your energy for those who live around you. A smile can go a long way, an act of kindness goes farther but a selfless loving act can be a fond memory of a lifetime. When we were shooting the film, every cast member, starting from Rajendra Gupta to the extras felt that this film represented reality of our society. Going by our population, nobody should be lonely and yet, there are so many individuals who can benefit by a simple line like – How are you doing? One line that fits well here – alone you can go fast, but together you can go far,” said Chirag Shah, Founder, Boch & Fernsh.
