Who the G.O.A.T. was/is, is a debate that will go on in every sport for at least as long as there are different generations of fans. But once in a while there comes a player who towers over a sport for so long and remains adored by fans and competitors alike, that the world hates to see him go. Federer’s final bow is unpalatable for the world of tennis, but all good things must come to an end. Even the invincible, fabled star who rose from a ball kid to superstardom, has to retire. #Federer showed us how to touch lives in more ways than one.
To my tennis family and beyond,

#CheetahIsBack. And not without a fair share of fanfare. It helps the visibility that the Prime Minister will be releasing them into the national park in Madhya Pradesh. The Rs.90-crore project (over 5 years) should hopefully revive the species that was declared extinct in India in 1952. Why does even this laudable measure seem to stoke mission nationalism?

And some further proof that we can’t believe everything that is reported as news. Putin supposedly survived an ‘assasination attempt’, reported some sections of the media. Some abstained. Who do we believe now?

Finally for today I've had a few people asking why I haven't mentioned the Sun's story of attempted assassination of Putin.
There are no real quotes, no evidence. That's why I ignored the story when I saw it on Telegram.https://t.co/m30woTz7vt

Keeping with the thought that there are two sides to every story, Gautam Adani was in the news for two reasons. The first was his rise to become the second (or third depending on when you check the stock-market driven reports) richest person in the world. Secondly, the debt on his behemoth. The reactions are priceless.
Beating both #JeffBezos and France's Bernard Arnault, Indian billionaire #GautamAdani has now become the world's second richest person, according to Forbes data. https://t.co/dSy1HYUq4w

Finally, the state that pioneered the school midday meals scheme has piloted free breakfast for school children. It may help if we stop analysing it from a political lens and view it in the larger perspective for what it does. Food in school is about feeding the future. And whether it is the midday meal scheme in schools or the subsidised Amma canteens, they have been found to be worthy of emulation in other parts of the country.

Why #TN’s free breakfast scheme is a triumph of government intent to facilitate inclusive development, over every other consideration. The #Dravidian model of development is definitely one to emulate. https://t.co/uiVd1aH03Y
