Bob Chapek’s tenure as Walt Disney’s CEO has been extended for three more years as per Disney Board’s announcement, according to media sources.
Susan Arnold, Chairman of the Board stated that Disney had dealt a tough hand by the pandemic, yet with Bob at the helm, their businesses, from parks to streaming not only weathered the storm but emerged in a position of strength.
Chapek has been with Disney for nearly 30 years. Prior to becoming CEO, he served as Chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products since the segment’s inception in 2018.Earlier he was Chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts since 2015. He has held various leadership roles at Disney.
