Footwear brand Walkaroo has named Godzilla its creative AoR following a multi-agency pitch.
The agency has been mandated to work on Walkaro’s mainline and digital communications in domestic and international markets, informed a joint statement .
Walkaroo is a homegrown brand that launched in 2012. During the financial year 22- 23, it had a turnover of Rs.2,072 crore. The brand has a pan-Indian presence through over 700 dealers and over one lakh retail outlets.
Rajesh Kurian, Director, Walkaroo International, said, “Godzilla was brought on board as the management saw freshness in their approach and a thorough understanding of the footwear category in their well-framed strategy and precise creative articulation of it in their work.”
Godzilla has been working with Walkaroo since before the announcement, creating campaigns for the brand’s school shoes and initiatives like #WalkIndiaWalk. On the social front, the agency is working with Walkaroo to increase its follower base with relevant content.
