New Delhi : Vodafone India Monday elevated enterprise services head Naveen Chopra to the role of chief operating officer, effective 1st April.
Naveen Chopra, director -Vodafone Business Services (VBS), will succeed Sunil Sood as the COO at the Indian unit of Vodafone Group Plc with effect from 1st April 2015, the country’s No. 2 operator said in a statement.
“Naveen has, over the last five years, ably led the VBS into significant growth and led our expansion into new customer and product segments, to contribute substantially to Vodafone India’s business success,” added the company statement.
This development comes on the heels of the previous announcement of Sunil Sood succeeding Marten Pieters as the telco’s managing director and chief executive officer, also with effect from 1st April 2015.
Chopra joined Vodafone in 2004 as Vice President – Corporate Marketing, and over the last 10 years, has done stints as CMO and subsequently, has led Mumbai and Rajasthan circles as Business Head, before joining the Executive Committee as the Director – VBS.
Chopra’s successor will be announced in due course of time, the company added.
