Chennai : Star India’s Tamil GEC Vijay TV is set to telecast their most prestigious event of the year, ‘9th Annual Vijay Awards 2015’ as two parts on 17th and 24th May 2015.
The grand event held on 25th April 2015 was attended by an array of stars from the film industry, eminent directors, notable producers, top-notch technicians will be telecast on both Sundays @ 2 pm.
This year’s highlight of the event was Prabhu Deva’s rocking performance on the stage with his chartbusting medley, the dances from India’s Got Talent along with the performance by Sruthi Haasan, Tamannah, Lakshmi Menon and Hip Hop Tamila.
In this year’s Vijay Awards – Best make up and constume disgner award were given to ‘Kaaviya Thalaivan’. Best production desinger was Saabu Crycril, Best Editor was Vivek Harshan, Best Choreographer was Shobi for the song Óruthi meley’from the movie ‘Jeeva’, Best stunt director was Supreme Sundar, Best cinematographer was Gavemic U Ary.
Contribution to Tamil cinema was given to AVM, Best lyricist was Kabilan, Best Male playback singer was Pradeep for the song Áagaayam theepudicha’, Best female playback singer was Uthara Unnikrishnan for the song ‘nadhi pogum’ from the movie Pisasu. Best background score award was given to Santhosh Narayanan.
Best child actor award was given to Sarah, best crew award was given to ‘Sathurangavetai’. Best find of the year award was given to Raju Murugan for the film Cuckoo. Best story, screenplay writer was given to Vijay Milton, Best dialogue write award was given to Parthiban, Best film award was given to VIP. Best director award was Karthik Subburaj, Best actress award was given to Amala Paul, Best actor Dhanush.
Vijay Awards has always scored record numbers in the past and the same keeps setting new records year by year. Telecast of the previous year’s Vijay Awards has clocked a record 14 TVR against 11 TVR prior to that year.
