Mumbai: With the sudden exit of its Country head NiteshKripalani, Amazon Prime Video India has assigned the task of managing the role of Kripalani to its Director of Content – Mr Vijay Subramanyam until the company finds a suitable replacement.
The exit of NiteshKripalani was a shocker to the industry as he was driving the streaming platform of the e-commerce giant in India with aggressive content strategy through partnership with many big-ticket Media and content houses.
He drew Amazon Prime as the frontrunner in deal making despite the existence of many digital platforms in the Indian Digital OTT space.
As an interim plan, Amazon Prime India has assigned the task of running the show to Vijay Subramanyam, who has joined the company in June 2017.
Prior to this, Subramaniam was associated with Walt Disney India since 2007 as executive director, media networks, before which he worked at MTV, ENIL- Radio Mirchi, Star India and Stardust.
