Vijay Subramaniam, Director, and Head- Content, Amazon Prime Video, India, has quit, as per media reports. A media and entertainment professional with over 20 years of experience in all mainstream forms of Media – TV, Radio, Publishing, and Digital Media, joined Amazon Prime in 2017. Subramaniam played a huge role in signing content deals with major production houses and studios
Before joining Amazon prime, Subramaniam held the position of Vice President- Content & Communication of Walt Disney India. His longest tenure was with Media Networks, where he worked as the Executive Director for 14 years. Subramaniam held multiple roles spanning revenue management, business management, content and programming strategy, and organizational leadership. He has worked in various media organizations, namely, Star India, Radio Mirchi, MTV Networks.
