Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) has signed multi-market, pan-Asian deal with Electus International to air the mixed martial arts franchise Bellator MMA.
With this deal between VIML and Electus, the later bags the broadcast rights for the mixed martial arts championship event and Paramount Channel will be the exclusive new home to Bellator starting in January 2018.
Subscribers spanning Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, Taiwan and the Pacific Islands will have access to the exclusive linear broadcast transmission of Bellator’s world championship events from venues around the world.
Owned and operated by Viacom, Bellator MMA is available to nearly 1 billion people in more than 160 countries.There is also the potential for further collaboration with Bellator to stage fight events in Asia in the future.
