NDTV has named Venkat Pochiraju as Regional Head – South (Special Projects). His stint with NDTV is effective from yesterday. He previously worked for Times Network as General Manager and Region Head – South.
In his new role, Pochiraju oversees the sales of new and existing intellectual properties, brand solutions and media partnerships across news channels and digital platforms and he will report to Gaurav Kumar Dewani – the revenue head for special projects.
Announcing the new role on his LinkedIn handle, Pochiraju wrote, “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Regional Head – South (Special Projects) at NDTV!”
Prior to NDTV, Pochiraju served for Times Network where he played various roles between 2022 and 2024. Before joining Times Network, he associated with RED FM as Dy. General Manager & Cluster Sales Head – South from 2018 to 2022. Previous to this, Pochiraju positioned as Senior Manager – Sales & Region Head – South for Sony Mix and Sony ROX HD at Sony Pictures Network India between 2014 and 2018. He also worked for 9X Media Pvt. Ltd as Manager Sales from 2013 to 2014.
Previous to his stint with 9X Media Pvt. Ltd, Pochiraju played the role of Business Manager at GroupM between 2012 and 2013. Prior to this, he also worked for E-TV Network, BIG FM, Symbiosys Technologies, Infomedia India Limited, and Johnson & Johnson.

He has a proven track record of delivering revenue growth, client satisfaction, and innovative solutions. He has expertise in advertising sales, media buying, IP sales, branded content, and new business development, across various genres and markets.
