VaynerMedia has announced two management changes across the EMEA region with Daisy Domenghini being promoted to Managing Director for EMEA after having served as Head of Client Partnership since October 2021.
It was also announced that VJ Anand, who currently serves as Head of Creative for VaynerMedia APAC, will relocate to London to become Executive Creative Director of EMEA. Both will be based in VaynerMedia’s London office. The appointments follow a year of growth for VaynerMedia EMEA which has seen its London office hire 21% more staff, and win social and strategy work for Durex. Domenghini and Anand join Head of Strategy, Allan Blair, on the senior leadership team following Blair’s appointment in February.
Domenghini assumes her new role with immediate effect, while Anand will relocate in November this year.
“At VaynerMedia, we take great pride in promoting and relocating talent,” said Gary Vaynerchuk, CEO of VaynerMedia. Since joining last year, Daisy has demonstrated exceptional qualities of being a great leader, truly understanding our integrated model of having creative and media working seamlessly together. VJ joined VaynerMedia APAC at its inception in 2019 and has helped grow the office to over 250 people strong. I am confident that their partnership will propel our rapidly expanding presence in EMEA.”
Domenghini has been at VaynerMedia since October 2021 and in that time has overseen client accounts including Heinz, NatWest, and UNICEF. In her previous role as Head of Client Partnerships, she led the addition of Durex, Zalando, and Indeed as clients. Prior to VaynerMedia, Domenghini was Global Client MD at The Engine Group.
Anand manages creative teams across India, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Japan and Indonesia, leading projects for PepsiCo and Prudential. During his tenure, VaynerMedia APAC collected a range of awards including Independent Agency of the Year by Marketing Interactive (Gold), Campaign Asia Independent Agency of the Year 2021 (Silver), and Campaign Asia Social Media Agency of the Year 2021 (Bronze).
“Since day one, I felt at home at Vayner and I’m immensely proud to have been given the opportunity to lead such talented individuals and ambitious clients. It’s an incredibly exciting place to be right now,” said Domenghini. We’re truly built for the modern age of marketing, created from the consumer up, and our clients see growth and traction with us. Gary’s vision and ability are breeding a new tribe of marketers and creating a restless energy that means we’re constantly evolving to provide a better service. I’m incredibly proud of what the EMEA team has achieved, both in London and across Europe, and I look forward to working with them and Anand to take things even further.”
Anand said: “I will really miss the APAC team, but I leave immensely proud that they are all rocketships and working with some of the world’s best brands. We have such a unique approach to creative and marketing and I am excited to scale it and bring my experience and a fresh perspective from APAC. Here’s to exploring and building original, cutting-edge models of creativity with Daisy and the rest of the team in EMEA.”
