Mumbai: Varsha Sawakhande has joined Meru Life as Director – Content & Marketing, marking a new chapter in her career after serving as Senior Marketing Manager at Mirum India.
Announcing her move on LinkedIn, Varsha reflected on her journey at Mirum India, saying, “I’ll be honest—when I joined Mirum in November 2021, I had my apprehensions. But within months, those apprehensions disappeared. Why? Because of the company culture and, most importantly, the leadership. Hands down, the best I’ve worked with. Mihir Karkare and Hareesh Tibrewala, I can’t thank you enough for being incredible mentors—always wanting to listen to my ideas, always guiding. Have been a part of leading strategic initiatives at Mirum and it wouldn’t have been possible without the two of you believing in me. If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that great leadership isn’t just about making decisions—it’s about empathy, and the ability to recognize and pushing your people towards growth. And that’s exactly what made my next step feel so natural.”
Varsha further expressed her enthusiasm about her transition to Meru Life, “While my journey at Mirum has come to an end, I’m elated and proud that my journey with this leadership continues—just in a new avatar. This time, with a greater purpose that excites me: building something that can positively impact millions of Active Seniors.”
Sharing insights into her new role, she added, “For the past month, I’ve been part of this ride as a founding team member at Meru Life, where I now step in as Director – Content and Marketing! It’s been crazy, fun, and everything in between—traveling, meeting friends, working from anywhere (with my laptop always in tow), and somehow enjoying the chaos of it all. Saurabh Garg Arun Kedia it’s been a short time since I have known you both, but the learning has been truly exponential.”

At Meru Life, she is set to play a crucial role in shaping the brand’s marketing and content strategy, leveraging her extensive experience to drive impactful initiatives.
