Valeria Pinto has joined Weber Shandwick as head of its Indian operation.
Valeria Pinto will take up the role of Weber Shandwick India CEO in January of next year. She joins after a very long stint with Perfect Relations since 1999, which she left last September.
Weber Shandwick India’s vice chairman, Atul Ahluwalia will continue in his role.
Pinto will report to Weber Shandwick’s regional boss Tim Sutton (Chairman – APAC) and joins the senior management board.
Sutton said: “In the last few months, I have spoken to very many senior people in India – at agencies and clients, in media and business – for advice on the very best person to take our business in India to the next stage of market leadership. It was quite remarkable how many of them put Valerie at the very top of their ‘recommendation list’. She is a class act with a legendary reputation.”

Weber Shandwick operates in India with offices located at New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Bangalore.
