Tremor Video, the US-based online video marketplace that acquired Australian sell-side platform TVN last August, has opened for business in Malaysia.
Running the office locally from Kuala Lumpur will be Amira Sa’abana, who joins the business from media owner Astro Awani as demand director.
Sa’abana said: “Malaysian buyers and sellers are requiring more programmatic solutions for their businesses. There’s so much confusion in the market, and I look forward to helping them fit the pieces together to move into the future of advertising and monetisation.”
She will be working with Kevin Smyth, Tremor’s sales director for Asean, who commented: “We’ve been working with Malaysian publishers for the last few years from Singapore. But now the time is right to set up a regional office in KL to better service our customers.”
The launch comes just under a year after Tremor expanded into APAC after buying Sydney-headquartered TVN. The group is now present in Sydney, Melbourne, Singapore, New Zealand and Malaysia.
