The world’s biggest advertiser, Unilever, has appointed a new boss for Southeast Asia and Australasia.
Pier Luigi Sigismondi, who was previously the consumer goods giant’s London-based chief supply chain officer, steps into the role as president for one of the company’s fastest growing operations. He will be based in Singapore.
He replaces Peter Ter Kulve, who is moving into a new role within the company after five years running SEAA.
Before Unilever, Sigismondi was at rival Nestle, where he worked for the company in operations and R&D in Switzerland and Mexico.
Unilever’s CEO, Paul Polman, said of Sigismondi’s appointment: “His experience in business strategy and supply chain will undoubtedly be an asset to the dynamic SEAA region.”
