Eccho Rights has licensed Ay Yapim’s hit drama series Insider (Icerde) into six additional countries including Zee in India for airing on its premium entertainment channel Zindagi that is already running two Turkish shows.
Apart from Zee in India, the other markets where Inside got sold includes Victory Entertainment in Greece, Gem in Iran, Kurdmax in Iraq, Antenna in Romania and TV Klan in Albania have all picked up the series in this latest round of deals. This follows on previously secured sales to Mega in Chile and Imedi in Georgia. A further 20 agreements are in negotiation for the series globally, according to Eccho Rights.
“Insider is an amazing production, once again a number one series from Ay Yapim,” said Fredrik af Malmborg, the managing director of Eccho Rights. “The series is equally attractive to both female and male audiences, a signature for top Turkish dramas.”
The series first aired on Show TV from 19 September 2016 and Still airing on every Monday. The Story of Insider (Icerde) revolves around Sarp is a successful police academy student who strives to be a detective. His family has a dark past. His father was in the mafia and went to jail when Sarp was a child. His 3 year-old brother Umut is then kidnapped. Not knowing that they are brothers, they now know each other from the police academy and they do not get along.
