Mumbai : Times Network, part of the media conglomerate, The Times Group, will host the Second Digital India Summit, on the theme, ‘A Digital India. An Empowered India’ on 22nd March in New Delhi.
The Second Digital India Summit will bring together celebrated thought leaders and digital evangelists on a common platform, to ideate on important areas and issues. Through the initiative, the Times Network will also recognize and honour individuals, businesses and organizations that are harnessing the power of Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) and digital tools.
The Second Digital India Summit will be telecast on Times Network television channels, Times Now and ET NOW. The day-long summit will begin with a keynote address by Union Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Ravi Shankar Prasad, who supports the initiative for the second consecutive year.
The Summit will also bring together several eminent leaders from across industry, government and academia, who will deliberate on set goals, evaluate performance and identify areas where more attention is required. Among the highlights of the day will be a special address by one of the most respected thought leaders, Amit Midha – President, Dell Inc. Asia Pacific & Japan and Chairman, Dell Emerging Markets, Dell.
Participants will be able to listen to speakers like R. Chandrashekharv, President, Nasscom, Debjani Ghosh, VP Sales and Marketing Group and MD, Intel South Asia, Nitin Kunkolienkar VP and Director, MAIT and Smartlink and Shrikhant Sinha, CEO, Nasscom Foundation. Among the others on the podium, will be Sudhir Hasija, Chairman, Karbonn. The speakers will address important issues pertaining to empowering a Digital India, across five different sessions through the day.
These sessions will throw light on topics like, ‘Delivering on the Digital India Dream – The Story So Far’, ‘Building a Digital Economy (A roadmap to change India’s future)’, ‘Digital India – Developing Digital Entrepreneurs (Internet enabling entrepreneurs to tap the big Indian e-commerce opportunity)’, ‘Making India an Electronics Manufacturing Hub and Developing Digital Workforce Critical for Digital India and ICT’.
