Mumbai: Just days after Times Now News-hour anchor and Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami announced his resignation, Chandni Ahlawat Dabas, the executive producer of NewsX took to Social Media to announce Rahul Shivashankar’s next role as Editor of Times Now. Her posts say that Rahul Shivshankar moves on from NewsX and will be shortly joining Times Now as Chief Editor.
Arnab Goswami, who became popular for his prime time debate show News Hour and ‘Frankly speaking with Arnab’ had resigned on November 1, after working with Times Now for over a decade.
According to a report by The News Minute, Shivshankar will be joining as the new Editor-in-Chief at Times Now from December 15.
Rahul Shivshankar was an employee with Times Now before he made the shift to NewsX to lead the channel as its editor. He has an experience of over 20 years in journalism and has worked with several media houses including India Today, Headlines Today and NewsX.
His extensive citations on the attack on Nariman House in Mumbai on November 26, 2008 in an anthology of hard-hitting investigative narratives published by Roli Books have grabbed attention from various sources. He has also written several comment pieces on current affairs.
He is said to have announced his decision to his team in NewsX HO this Monday.
No doubt, Rahul Shivshankar had done it great at NewsX and his approach has taken the channel up and placed it among one of the top score news channels. Now, he’s in to lead TIMES NOW and the TIME will say if he is so dynamic enough to match the dynamic values implanted by Arnab Goswami.
