Mumbai, India: The Q, India’s leading growing Hindi General Entertainment channel with a presence across digital, social and television platforms announces the launch of its first crime fiction show – Jurm Ka Chehra, marking The Q’s foray into the genre. Mobilizing the digital creator economy, and in collaboration with Chingari, The Q successfully held India’s first-ever virtual audition for the upcoming crime fiction show on the leading short video platform. Jurm Ka Chehra will premiere on Saturday, September 4, 2021, at 9:00 pm and will subsequently air on weekends at the same time exclusively on The Q.
Providing the digital creator community with an opportunity and platform to debut on TV, Chingari users were asked to send in their auditions to The Q in the form of showreels and monologues directly on the platform. With a strong and growing foothold in both the digital and television space, The Q aims to close open loops and create an interdependent ecosystem that is driven by content for viewers across India. Having held auditions on Chingari for 20 days with an ‘Age no Bar’ approach, over 47,000 users participated for a role in Jurm Ka Chehra garnering over a billion impressions. Following this audition process, 4 Chingari users – The Girish from Nanded, Rubulrox
from Assam, Pornima Garg from Lucknow, and Rajesh Singhal from Rajasthan are the finalists who have bagged a role in the upcoming crime fiction show on The Q that will be hosted by Kinshuk Vaidya.

The host Kinshuk Vaidya will take viewers through unheard, strange and intriguing cases with every hourly episode thus making them more aware of such happenings in societies. A weekend treat for The Q viewers, Jurm Ka Chehra will premiere on Saturday, September 4, 2021, with fresh new episodes airing every Saturday and Sunday at 9:00 pm.
