Mumbai: Praised for an incredible display of the courageous ‘Snow Warriors’ in Ladakh, Discovery, India’s first and leading aggregated real-life entertainment channel, is all set to debut one of its most spectacular originals, ‘Ladakh Warriors: The Sons of the Soil’. Adding onto an exciting content lineup with ‘Mission Frontline’ under the theme ‘Desh Ke Liye’, the documentary film is making its television premiere on 27th April at 10:00 PM on Discovery Channel. Apart from its visually stunning setting, it perfectly encapsulates the bravery and sacrifice of the Indian Army’s Ladakh Scouts.
Set against the rugged backdrop of Ladakh’s mountainscape, Ladakh Warriors: The Sons of the Soil is an energizing and immersive film that tells the story of young men whose only ambitions are to defend and protect their country against all harm. Specializing in mountain warfare, the film is a story of grit, determination, and above all love for one’s own country. Depicting the grueling training and endurance that these warriors experience at unparalleled heights of over 15,000ft, the show also portrays the exhausting process that the Snow Warriors go through at one of the highest regimental centers on the planet. The film is narrated in Hindi by the Indian equestrian, actor, entertainer, and nature enthusiast, Randeep Hooda.
On lending his voice for the show in Hindi, Randeep Hooda said, “My experience with this film is one I will never forget. For us, when we think of Ladakh, we’re quick to picture scenic snowy mountains and stunning blue waters, but there’s an untold story behind that beauty that I was so happy to be a part of. Being able to lend my voice, in order to tell stories of the heroes that brave these frontiers on a daily basis, fighting for a country that we all call ‘home’ is something truly special. It’s an incredible project from Discovery and I am thrilled that more people across India will now have a chance to experience this journey on the channel.”
