The Five Focus points for TSBI in 2022 is Preparedness, Flexibility, Digital Transformation, Training and Expansion
By Harikrishnan Pillai CEO and co-founder, TheSmallBigIdea (TSBI)
2021 has been tough on people, especially those who have lost near ones, lost jobs. So amidst all the business elation and excitement, our heart goes out to those who have had a rough patch.
From a business point of view, 2021 has been a year that has clearly picked favourites. Categories have throttled up, while others have seen the pits. For TSBI, it has been a fabulous year. While we continue to have a sizeable chunk in the media and entertainment business, our exposure to e-commerce, consumer products, BFSI and education has increased significantly. Video and influencers have played their part for us as they would have for others.
People have been at the core of our business since its inception. We have doubled the team from last year, inching closer to the 250 mark.
Honestly, I believe every year is crucial, so 2022 is no different. Overall we are in an era and in a country that is poised for growth. But it comes with its challenges. We will have to learn to thrive amidst these challenges. Here is our 5 point agenda towards business in 2022.
Preparedness
My biggest lesson from 2021 is to be prepared for all possibilities, desirous or otherwise. The preparation can be organisational, skill level, people-driven or merely mental readiness.
Flexibility
To be able to work and drive work physically or remotely is key in these times. It needs a coordinated symphony between people, processes and technology. The immersion into the flexibility should be easy and highly optimised
Digital Transformation
Enabling everything that can be digitally driven. This attempt will be focused on efficiency and cost-consciousness.
Training
Technology is fast-changing and its dynamism is beyond most of us. It’s imperative for all of us to learn and keep upskilling. The gap between catching up and being left behind is very thin, and lethargy to evolve will push us down those pits.
Expansion
Going beyond the usual suspects and physical boundaries. Reaching out to clients, partners and employees beyond the obvious realm.
