With an aim to analyse consumer sentiment around the IPL, with a focus on second screen usage during matches, along with suggestions on mobile innovations that could cut through the digital clutter, Glance has unveiled a report titled ‘IPL and the second screen’.
The study reveals that TV is the preferred viewing device with 69 percent of the respondents plan to watch IPL on the Television set, mobile comes a close second 61% followed by Laptop with 28 percent. IPL has a massive following amongst Indian cricket-lovers and according to Glance survey 68% of respondents are die-hard fans of the event.
Another trend revealed by the survey is that the phone usage is a constant while viewing IPL matches 70% of the respondents use their smartphones while a match is on. The Top activities including watching match commentary on other platforms & entertainment shows to browsing social media taking part in online contests.
