Bengaluru : Star India’s Kannada General Entertainment Channel Suvarna is all set to launch the new fiction show Antahpura from April 20th onwards.
The new show Antahpura will be replacing the existing show ‘Aragini’, which is being Produced and Directed by Aravind Kausik. He is a famous director in Kannada television Industry with more than a decade of experience. He is also an actor as well .
Aragini was produced by Director Ravi Garani. He is also happen to be the Producer of the popular show ‘Amruthavarshini’ at 9:30 PM.
The concept of Antahpura is an Eternal love story that begins with struggle. Antahpura is a love story that’s set in the harsh realities of Veeragada. A simple Mysore girl Sahana falls in love with the heir of the Veeragada household Sudeep; but bitter reality sets in when she visits Veeragada for the first time and meets Rudrani Devi the matriarch of the household.
The struggles of Sahana and Sudeep in escaping the Veeragada household, marrying and then having to face Rudrani Devi and her wrath is the story of Antahpura.
Aragini which is getting winded up was originally launched at 9 pm where it opened up with good numbers. However, the same was shifted to 7:30pm initially and later on to 7 pm by the channel for strategic reasons. The show seems to have lost it charm during this multiple time changes.
Suvarna has replaced most of its early prime time shows in past couple of months. On 12th January the channel has launched Sreemathi Bhagyalakshmi and Kushi at 8pm and 8:30pm respectively. On 17th January the channel has launched Swathi Muthu at 7:30pm time band and 17th February it has launched Karanji at 6:30PM slot.
Antahpura will be aired at 7.00pm on every Monday to Saturday.
