Bengaluru : The Star Network’s Kannada General Entertainment Channel ”Suvarna” has announced the launch of their two new fiction shows “Shrimati Bhagyalakshmi ” and “Khushi” from January 12th 2015.
Suvarna is pinning its hope on Fiction front as the channel failed to raise the bar to the expected level with two of its primary nonfiction formats Pyate Hudgir Halli Life and Bigg Boss Kannada, which served as the secret weapon of the channel in many occasions, however failed to fire this time.
The failure of the nonfiction shows pushed the channel from No. 1 to No.3 spot allowing ample room for Udaya TV to dominate the Karnataka market comfortably at No. 1 position and the underdog ETV Kannada to muscle out the No. 2 position.
Suvarna, under pressure, is desperate to bounce back and hence decided to try its luck by converting the one hour of nonfiction time band (8PM to 9PM)in to two new fiction slots, with the launch of new properties back to back @ 8PM and 8:30PM with ”Shrimati Bhagyalakshmi” and ”Kushi” respectively from 12th January 2015 onwards.
Shrimati Bhagyalakshmi is a heart wrenching story of Gautami, who changes her identity due to certain circumstances, how she copes with her new identity with an intriguing past forms the crux of the story. Shrimati Bhagyalakshmi will be aired on every Monday to Saturday @8:00PM
Khushi is a unique family love story embedded between two distinct individuals. The story revolves around 2 characters-Rajini (heroine) and Vishnu Vardhan (Hero). It’s the story of how Rajini overcomes all the odds to create harmony in her mother-in-laws life and makes her husband understand the true nature of his father. Khushi will be aired on every Monday to Saturday @8:30 PM.
Pyate Hudgir Halli Life Season 3 is ending on this week and two new serials will replace the same from next Monday onwards.
The performance of “Shrimati Bhagyalakshmi ” and “Khushi” are very crucial for the channel and its programming team.
