New Delhi: Supriya Prasad, News Director of TVTN and Managing Editor, Taks has been awarded the coveted ‘Hindi Academy Patrakaarita Sammaan’. The Academy selected him for his invaluable contribution in the field of electronic media. He received the award from Deputy Chief Minister of New Delhi, Shri Manish Sisodia at a ceremony held at Kamani Auditorium, New Delhi.
Supriya Prasad started his career with Aaj Tak in 1995, at a time when electronic media was new to India. From a 20-minute show on Doordarshan in 1995 to a 24×7 news channel in 2000, Aaj Tak covered a long journey of success in just 5 years. Supriya Prasad, a key member of the team then, has been heading Aaj Tak for many years now.
Aaj Tak today is a torchbearer of Hindi journalism and Supriya Prasad has played a big part in retaining its leadership position.
Hindi Academy has instituted these awards to felicitate journalists, writers, poets and other literary figures from Delhi NCR who have contributed to the cause of Hindi.
