Chennai: With the completion of the first season of Naagini on three of its network channels, SUN TV Network is set to launch its magnum opus fiction Nandhini in all its 4 South Indian GEC channels namely Sun TV, Gemini TV, Udaya TV and Surya TV on January 23rd.
Sun TV Network has apparently commissioned the new show moving away from its sponsorship mode as it was hoping to leverage the cost amortization benefit of producing a multi lingual show and also to up-hold the spike in viewership numbers gained through the success of Naagini in all its GECs barring Udaya TV where the airing of dubbed content was banned by the industry.
Nandini is a supernatural fiction series that is produced and presented by the acclaimed Tamil film director Sundar. C and the story narrate the life of a family whose life is intertwined by supernatural species.
Nandini boasts of high end graphics and big scale production values that is sure to provide the viewers a wholesome entertainment. The star cast includes Vijayakumar, Nithya Ram, Malavika, Ramesh Pandit, Gayathri Jayaram, Narasinha Raju to name a few.
A 360-degree marketing campaign with a music video has been implemented to announce the launch of this show across different markets.
The success of Nandini is expected to alter the business approach as Sun TV Network as the company mulls more such shows on commissioned basis to boost its profitability through monetization in various means that includes exploitation in digital media also.
Nandini is schedule to air from January 23rd, 2017 in following schedule in four channels of Sun TV Network:
Monday- Friday @ 8.30 pm on Udaya TV (Kannada)
Monday- Saturday @ 9pm on Sun TV (Tamil)
Monday- Saturday @ 9pm on Gemini TV (Telugu)
Monday- Friday @ 9pm on Surya TV (Malayalam)
