Chennai: Tamil Satellite channel Sun TV is rejoicing the grand success of its television award ceremony as the first part of the televised event of Sun Kudumbam Viruthugal 2014 aired on 30th November 2014 between 6.00PM to 10.15 PM has delivered a whooping 19 TVR in MF 4+ TG and 22.19 TVR in Fe 15+ ABC TG
Aparently Sun Kudumbam Viruthugal emerged as the top rated program of the week in TN Market in across TG. Sun TV is positively hoping to score even better numbers next week for their second part of the event, which was aired on 7th December (Sunday) @ 6.00PM
The grand gala ground event held on 11th October 2014 in Chennai at Confluence Convention Centre, in recognition of the small screen talents involved in various fiction shows on Sun TV has a 26 Major categories of Awards for Artists and Technician talents.
The important reason for their rejoice is the fact that the ratings of Sun Kudumbam Viruthugal was much more than the ratings of SIIMA Awards aired on 12th October 2014 which averaged 14.8 TVR on Fe 15+ ABC and 12.7 TVR on MF 4+ target group with a peak rating of 16.36 and 14.02 TVR in Female and Male TG respectively. Channel sources also confirmed that the current ratings of 19 TVR was the highest ever peaking average in the history of the past three years of Sun Kudumbam Award event.
The expectation on the show got enhanced by the presence of entire Tamil Television fraternity and electric performances from popular artists from the Tamil film industry including actors Andrea, Mirchi Shiva, Sanchita Shetty, Raai Laxmi, Pooja, Visakha Singh and many more dazzling on stage with specially choreographed performances for the show and comedy skit planned with 2 acts to be performed by actors Manobala, Nalini, Madhumita and Madurai Muthu.
The channel aired pre-event episodes telecast during last three Sundays which included behind-the-scenes footage, trivia sharing, rehearsals of the performances, interviews of the nominees and many more segments that seems to have triggered the interest level further to catch the final show telecast.
The pre-event episodes aired during the previous Sundays delivered an average of 8 to 9 TVR in Female TG and an average of 7 to 8 TVR in Male TG.
